The Strike is an impartant part of the bite that a lot of people miss.
It is teaching the dog to strike at the sleeve, not just open their mouth and wait for the helper to give the sleeve to them.
The seesaw is a helpful tool to introduce the stick, because the dog is
preoccupied with the bite. Also, it helps keep the grip calm.
When the dog slips the sleeve the dog should come over the sleeve. To
be balance in the right drives the dog should target the man.
This video of obedience for bites exercise is only the first day for a young
dog. Many people have nice obedience when there is no distraction.
In the protection phase there is a lot of distraction and you need to
prepare your dog for that.
This is also a great exercise for speed on the courage test. We do 10
runaways for every frontal courage test.
